Why I Do This Work
"The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are."
- Carl Jung
Psychology has fascinated me for as long as I can remember, not only because of the questions it asks but also because of the hope it offers. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with people from many different backgrounds and life experiences. Again and again, I've seen that behind symptoms like anxiety, relationship struggles, or emotional exhaustion are deeply human stories of loss, resilience, identity, and the desire to be understood.
My academic journey led me to earn a Ph.D. in the Psychology of Religion, where I explored the relationship between meaning, spirituality, and psychological well-being. Over time, my clinical interests expanded to include relationships, sexuality, migration, and the ways culture shapes our emotional lives. Today, I strive to create a space where people can explore every part of themselves with curiosity rather than judgment.
What I Love About This Work: One of the things I value most about therapy is witnessing people reconnect with themselves. Change rarely happens through quick advice or perfect solutions, it grows through insight, honesty, and meaningful conversations. I enjoy helping clients recognize patterns that no longer serve them, discover new ways of relating to themselves and others, and move toward lives that feel more authentic and fulfilling.
Every client brings a unique story, and it is a privilege to walk alongside them during some of life's most meaningful and challenging moments.
Outside the Therapy Room: Outside of my work as a therapist, I'm first and foremost a mom, and if you ask my cat, I'm simply the human who exists to serve her. At home, you'll often find me in the kitchen, where I genuinely love cooking for my family and baking desserts. Creating something delicious from scratch is one of my favorite ways to show love and care. I'm also passionate about crocheting and other handmade crafts. There's something incredibly calming about making something with my own hands, one stitch at a time. Meditation helps me stay grounded, and I love traveling whenever I can. Exploring new countries, cultures, and ways of life continually reminds me how beautifully diverse the human experience is. Whether I'm learning something new, having meaningful conversations, or creating educational mental health content, curiosity is a big part of who I am. I believe growth happens not only in the therapy room but also in everyday moments, in creativity, in connection, and sometimes over a slice of homemade dessert shared with the people we love.

Common Concerns
- I constantly overthink everything.
- I feel anxious even when nothing is wrong.
- I don't know who I am anymore.
- I feel disconnected from my partner.
- We keep having the same arguments.
- I feel guilty all the time.
- Moving to another country changed me.
- I feel lonely even when people are around.
- My relationship with intimacy has become difficult.
- I don't feel good enough.
- I feel stuck in life.
I want to understand myself better.
My Approach
I believe meaningful change begins when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted. Therapy isn't about fixing who you are, it's about understanding how your experiences, relationships, beliefs, and emotions have shaped you, and discovering new ways of moving forward. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to help you better understand yourself so you can make choices that align with the life you want to build.
My approach integrates existential therapy, psychodynamic thinking, reality therapy, and evidence-based interventions, while remaining responsive to each client's unique needs. Together, we'll explore not only present-day challenges but also the deeper patterns, relationships, and beliefs that may be influencing them. When appropriate, I also incorporate culturally sensitive and spiritually informed perspectives, honoring the values that are meaningful to you without making assumptions about what you believe.
Therapy with me is collaborative, thoughtful, and conversational. Some sessions focus on practical strategies for managing anxiety or improving communication, while others involve exploring deeper questions about identity, relationships, purpose, and emotional well-being. I aim to create a space where you can speak openly without fear of judgment, challenge old patterns with compassion, and develop greater confidence in yourself and your relationships.
